What’s happening in the Port Kells Art Club
PKAC Winter / Spring Season 2026
Schedule for June plein air painting (weather permitting)
All dates will start at 10:00 am at the chosen site. Bring your painting gear, a chair or blanket to sit on, snacks and drinks.
- June 8 – Campbell Valley Park, south entrance. 20285 8th Ave. lots of parking, washrooms, a pond with wooden bridge, historic buildings, picnic tables etc. meet near the pond. (Postponed due to uncertain weather.)
- June 15 – Derek Doubleday Arboretum 21177 Fraser Hwy. lots of parking, washrooms, many benches and Adirondack chairs for sitting.
- June 22 – Sendall Gardens 20166 50 Ave. parking and washrooms available, lots of beautiful gardens, plants. Some picnic tables and benches.
- June 29 – Mill Lake Abbotsford. 33015 Bevan Ave. parking, washrooms, lake, trails, some benches.
If weather is really bad on any day we will reschedule to later in the week.
PKAC Spring 2026 Art Show
The PKAC Spring Sale is now history. We had a beautiful day and many visitors to our exhibition!

Classes
Classes are held at the Eric Bysouth Rotary Field House (location and directions above). They run on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The following instructors are booked for September to December 2025:

General Club Meetings
PKAC Winter / Spring 2026 Meeting Dates:
Meetings are regularly scheduled for the third Monday of the month, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Eric Bysouth Rotary Fieldhouse (map above). If the third Monday happens to be a statutory holiday, the meeting will take place on the following Monday.

Art Mentoring Feedback (formerly ‘Critique’)
Our next Art Mentoring Feedback session is on June 25, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
Signup deadline for this session: June 22, 2026 – 4:00 p.m.
Cost is $15 per person (to observe &/or participatate). Bring two paintings to be critiqued. Non-members are welcome.

In July and August Port Kells Art Club takes a break from classes, general club meetings, and mentoring feedback sessions.
Mentoring sessions will return in the fall with the first one scheduled for September 25, 2026
